MEET ASTRID
Hey there, welcome to Alkemi Interiors! I'm Astrid, an interior designer with over 7 years of experience, and I can't wait to get to know you better. Before we dive into design talk, let's get personal.
I've always been passionate about design. I remember always doodling in the corners of my notebooks, singing, and dancing since I was a little kid. I'm just your basic gal who loves to travel and eat. I've been lucky enough to visit over 10 countries and even lived in Barcelona, Spain for a year.
My friends know that if I'm not eating, I'm taking pictures or telling stories at double speed because that's just how I roll - no pauses necessary. This hack only works in Spanish, my native language. When I speak English, it's at normal speed, and in French, it's at half-speed.
My favorite store is Anthropologie and my favorite movie might be Mamma Mia. I just can't decide, but it always puts me in a great mood with all the groovin'.
Right now, I'm living my best life in Utah and I love it! And to top it off, I recently married the love of my life.

A LINKED-IN MOMENTO
After earning a degree in interior design in Guadalajara, Mx. (2016) I knew I had found my calling. After working for a couple of years I decided that Commercial Design was something I needed to experience more; So I moved my life to Barcelona, Spain to study for a Master's degree in Interior Design for Hotels, Bars, and Restaurants-In the internationally recognized school “Elisava”(2019). Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from homeowners and small business owners to large corporations and international hospitality groups.
I've worked designing kitchens, selling office furniture, designing 5-star beach hotels, designing restaurants, and at an online design group during Covid times. Overall, like I said at the beginning, more than 7 years of working my dreamed job.
Currently, I'm so happy that I get to run my growing design firm from my home studio (and occasionally from a coffee shop) I'm proud to say how much detail and heart I like to pour into my projects, making them one-of-a-kind.
